weekend happenings.

i feel like i had the world's most boring weekend so i don't have many pictures.
on saturday, scott had to go to a funeral down south all day.
by 7pm, i was ready for the kids to be in bed.
i was bathing cammie in the sink and miles came over and took his diaper off in front of me.
what? okay. so i rushed through the rest of the bath and hurried to put her pajamas on.
i did not want pee on my kitchen floor. that was all i needed.
and lucky for me....he didn't pee!
rather, he pooped. when i walked out of the bedroom, he was standing next to his poop on my kitchen floor.
i was stunned for a second. and then i grabbed my phone to snap a pic.
and when i turned around he had it in his hand.
i screamed, he dropped it, then wiped his hands all over his stomach.
grossest thing i've experienced as a mom by far.
sweet baby Jesus, that was so nasty.

anyway, moving right along.
i put my pen and paint pictures up!
i love them. they are perfect for my kitchen.

and i also discovered that miles really does not like the skin of an apple.

my favorite part of the weekend was our church service this past sunday.
i haven't heard a message that amazing in a long, long time.
so powerful, so convicting, so full of hope.

my little peanut was decked out in her red, white, and blue.

which reminds me...
i hope you are getting your america posts ready in your heads.
freedom ain't free, as my friend likes to say.

  3. Oh em gee. The poop. What's with these kids? Mason is a huge fan of streaking. He did poop in the yard last week. Yep, in the yard, like a dog. Much easier to clean up than the kitchen floor.

  10. poop grosses me out. (shocker). the other day ashlynn was taking care of business and when i went in to check on her she said she had poop in her hair and i almost threw up.
she didn't, she just wanted me to put her hair back in a pony tail. don't ask why she didn't just ask for that in the first place, pretty sure our kids get enjoyment out of giving us heart attacks.
cam is truly killing me with her cuteness.
